RANGE TIME: Live-firing of a handgun is not required to be a part of the training curriculum in order to meet the requirements of 2011 Wisconsin Act 35. We do not normally schedule range time as part of this course.
This course is the foundation of our personal protection curriculum and serves as the pre-requisite of many of our intermediate and advanced courses.
We frequently hold informal range days at various locations throughout the year and encourage our students to come out and spend some time shooting with us (see our schedule for these days and locations or contact us directly for details).
We strongly encourage our students to spend as much time practicing on a range as possible. The skills required to safely and effectively operate a firearm are perishable and need to be practiced on a regular basis.
REFUNDS: Our courses are not easy and we hold our students to a high standard. We never rubber-stamp our students through a course. Our instructors have the ability to remove a student from any of our courses for any reason. Safety always comes first and we have a zero-tolerance policy for unsafe gun handling, poor attitudes, and improper conduct. Should you be removed from the course and/or fail to meet the requirements to receive a certificate, you will not receive a refund. Emergency situations are handled on a case-by-case basis.
WHAT TO BRING: Note taking materials, photographic ID, and a positive attitude.
LUNCH: If food isn't available at the training location, time will be allotted for you to visit some of the local eating establishments for lunch. We are always looking for non-profit groups to hold cookouts at our training events… to help raise money for their cause! Feel free to bring your own food if you wish.
REGISTRATION: Pre-registration is required.
